Overview of the Molecule Mattress
Here is a video overview of the Molecule highlighting a few of its advantages. This mattress is on the milder end of the spectrum but not the squish king of soft. The foam recovers fast but you sink into it to get more contouring and hug. I believe the best part of the mattress is that it does not insulate as much as a traditional foam mattress. My Molecule Findings
The Molecule has a stretchy knitted cover that works nicely with the mattress. This is the first mattress I’ve reviewed where the cover is made with microban technology. Even though it has microban, I’d still advise using a mattress protector merely to keep it in pristine condition.
My Molecule Recommendation
The Molecule is not your typical 3 layer foam bed. It seems like one and even feels similar to some others I’ve tried but what sets it apart is that it’s one of the coolest sleeping foam mattresses I’ve tried. A popular way to address heat issues in mattresses is to use a phase change material in the cover which is cool to the touch but this effect is temporary and at some point, the mattress will heat up. Molecule has designed the foam and cut of the foam for maximum breathability where using phase change materials is not essential. Molecule Mattress Uncomfortable
I found this mattress to be a bit on the milder end of the spectrum and for it might not be best for stomach sleepers but most back sleepers and side sleepers will appreciate the design, cooling and pressure relief this mattress offers.
